Reigine Davenport

Theatre Company based in Cornwall, UK.

When Reigine was quite young, her greatest ambition was to become Prime Minister. And be a ballet dancer. As well as a chef. And perhaps a supermodel on the side. It didn’t take long to figure out that simultaneously being all these things may have been overly ambitious. Just a tad. So it wasn’t long before Reigine began to have an interest in Theatre, as it afforded her the opportunity to dabble in all these occupations, as well as some more fantastical ones! From then on Reigine began to participate in a variety of different pieces including being cast the lead role of Gonetia in a production of Cornish playwright Nick Darke’s ‘Hell’s Mouth’ as well as performing in an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at The Hall for Cornwall in Truro. In 2013, Reigine was offered a place to study Ba(Hons) Theatre where she began to develop her artistic work into a distinct political direction (Maybe a career as Prime Minister isn’t off the cards!).

Alongside this, over the past year, Reigine has also developed a strong interest in martial arts including Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing which have aided her both in her strength and flexibility resulting in her current work moving further towards the physical theatre genre than her previous pieces have done.
