TinCan Theatre are a five piece Theatre Company currently based in Cornwall. They met in 2013 and formed the company at Falmouth University in 2016. Through the use of physical theatre and music theatre, we aim to explore the issues that we feel are relevant to the here and now. We believe in starting conversations that get ourselves and our audiences thinking about our role in the world we live in and how we can make a difference.

We’re influenced by the works of artists such as Kneehigh, Frantic Assembly, Verity Standen and often keep a Brechtian style to our work. We work in all kinds of forms, from verbatim theatre, music theatre, site-specific theatre, community theatre even to drag performance!

We create our work based on our responses to the world around us. We take a subject that we feel needs to be given a voice and allow it to be heard. We produce active and high powered theatre that attracts both the theatre goer and those who are just curious. Our opinions are always evolving and we too are learning with our audience and for us, that’s what makes it worth while.

Theatre Company based in Cornwall, UK.
